ABOUT WYSTERIA HAVANESE
Our
Story
Located in Washington state, I am small breeder of Havanese dogs. I grew up in a family very involved in AKC showing & breeding of Old English Sheepdogs. From the age of 9, I was in the whelping box with every litter of puppies my mother & I raised together.

I have been fortunate to have had some of the very best mentors in the sport; learning everything I could.
To this day, I continuously keep educating myself via seminars, books, belonging and participating in educational groups; Good Dog, Puppy Culture to name a couple.

I believe that temperament, health, structure & breed type are equally important. All of my breeding Havanese have appropriate health testing including: Cardiac, Hips, Elbows, Patella’s, LCP, DNA Diversity testing & yearly eye exams. I look for longevity and health of my lines, I want our pets to be with us for a long time. My dogs are part of my family and live in my house. They play throughout the house, sleep in my bed and we cuddle on the furniture. I only have at the most 5-6 dogs ever living with me to insure they are receiving lots of love and attention. The Havanese breed is socially needy . That's what makes them such a wonderful addition to any family. They should never live anywhere but in a home. They are all groomed on a regular basis. At least every 2 weeks. weekly or more if they are in show coat, have puppies or if weather deems necessary.

I do not breed for profit, I breed purposefully with preservation of what makes the Havanese breed so special. It doesn't happen by chance. It's done intentionally for the next generation. My contract includes a lifetime return policy; all dogs no matter the circumstances come home to me. No questions asked. I never want a dog in a shelter or out on the street.

The love and dedication I have put into raising healthy, well adjusted and world ready puppies makes it important each one that leaves finds its one dedicated family. My goal at Wysteria Havanese is to preserve the integrity of the Havanese breed and to create a wonderful addition to your family!
